The anger that inspired the last two messages which appeared here has left me - and those words are not the ones which I want to be the last that I contribute to this effort. The time that I have spent building this site, and the time spent with Rachel as we built her page, has been very special and dear to me. I've had the opportunity to see my daughter grow with the encouragement and support of people from all over the world, and I've had the privilege of knowing that my efforts have made a difference in the lives of at least a few people. There's little that could be more rewarding to me right now.
I've been fighting a battle which is entering its final phases, and am no longer able devote the energy necessary to continue to maintain these pages. So I'd like to say thank you to everyone who has touched our lives in a positive way since Rachel and I first went online in January, 1995. Some of you have become dear treasured friends, and I will forever hold you close to me.
Its snowing here in the mountains, and I'd like to leave you with some words that I wrote in anticipation of being able to and watch my world transform before me.
SNOWFALL |
---|
On a lonely night With the moon up high And snowflakes Falling silently I watch As the world transforms Grey and black Disappear under a layer Of fresh dreams Drifting from the sky Until the glare Of new hope Reflects brightly Into my eyes And the coming dawn Can be faced With courage. |
